No date (circa 1940). A story of the American Southwest, where "The border country is torn with strife--ranchers and copper-miners are in a hand-to-hand struggle for control of water rights, and a band of mysterious night riders led by a giant Chinaman, the Yellow Killer, has been raiding the ranches, killing and plundering as they go." Black lettering on red cloth, 314 pages, dust jacket illustration by Edgar Franklin Wittmack. Rear panel of dust jacket features Eugene Cunningham. Light cover soil, smudged/lightly soiled edges, previous owner's initials to top left corner of front pastedown, notation to front end paper (one of those "This book is the property of" things), small bookseller's tag to bottom left corner of rear pastedown. Dust jacket is moderately edgeworn w/several short edge tears, some soiling to rear panel. Uncommon in a jacket, this one fairly presentable, now, in a protective mylar sleeve.
