Fiction. A sort of "aprocryphal Gospel" concerning a special dog and the love between him and Jesus. The genesis of the story was the attempted killing of a dog which escaped and found its way to the home of the author and his wife, who nursed it back to health. Contains the wraparound yellow band reading "The 13th Disciple." This copy inscribed and signed ("To xxx and xxxxx xxxxxxxx/with all good wishes from/Elizabeth and Sam Morse-Brown/Christmas 1978"). Foreword by the Right Reverend Anselm Genders, Lord Bishop of Bermuda. 61 pages + Acknowledgements and brief author biography, illustrated. Moderate handling wear. Uncommon signed.
